WHAT IS A CARBON OFFSET?

Carbon offsetting is about funding solutions to climate change. A carbon off-set invests in an environmental sustainability project around the world.

A Carbon off-set is purchased as a reduction in the emissions of carbon dioxide or other greenhouse gasses made in order to compensate for emissions made elsewhere.  Offsets are measured in tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent.
